Beacon Light Behavioral Health System is looking for a Education Support Technician who is responsible for the supervision of clients during the entire school day. This person is also responsible for the presentation of any and all group material that provides education and awareness, and for following any and all behavior modification plans implemented by the treatment team.

The Custer City Private School is a private provider of education for young people who are unable to succeed in a public school setting. The program strives to provide a learning environment that will increase the students' academic achievement, as well as, address any behavioral difficulties to enable the students' return to a public school setting. Educational staffs provide opportunities for growth through individualized academic instruction and behavioral management programs. The emphasis is placed on the positive strengths of each young person while providing structure, supervision, and guidance in the areas of need.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Preference is given to college trained individuals with a background in child development, psychology, education, or a related field.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This position gives preference to individuals with an active driver's license and a DMV check that is clear. Position may require travel in the local community or to assist with individuals attending required appointments or visits.

ABOUT US

The phrase Beacon Light actually refers to two distinct companies:
Beacon Light Behavioral Health System (BLBHS) and Beacon Light Adult Residential Services (BLARS).

Together they provide mental health services to adults, children and families in both community-based and residential settings. Individually, BLARS primarily provides residential programs for adults, while BLBHS provides community-based and residential programs for children, as well as community-based programs for adults.
