Minimum Qualifications:
1. Current licensure as Registered Nurse by State of Pennsylvania;
2. Experience working with individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance abuse disorders, and/or forensic issues preferred.
3. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, organizational skills and the ability to effectively work with a team.
4. Strong clinical skills with working knowledge of mental health system and recovery principles.
5. Ability to effectively work with persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance abuse disorders and forensic issues and encourage their participation with comprehensive treatment plans.
6. Act 33/34/31 and FBI Clearances
7. Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours.
This position is responsible for assessing client physical and mental health needs, planning of any medical interventions that might be needed for inclusion in the treatment plan, health education, advocacy, medication monitoring and the overall surveillance and maintenance of the health needs of staff and clients. The incumbent in this position will also be responsible for maintaining appropriate medication storage/security, including up-to-date MAR and up-to-date written and verbal record keeping, as well as communication with other staff regarding clients' medical conditions and medication needs.
