SUMMARY

Responsible for providing additional support to the staff and leadership within the program. This individual assists in training new staff and in supporting the implementation of trauma informed principles and practices, including staff debriefing. This position is responsible for assisting leadership in monitoring staff morale and in implementing necessary trainings, meetings and practices within the program. This position is responsible for coaching and development of new staff through on the job training during their employment and for providing SCM and CPR/First Aid training to employees by performing the following duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Individual must have 1-4 years' experience in a residential setting, including MH-IDD experience
  • Prior experience providing training required.
  • Must be a certified SCM, Ukeru and CPR/First Aid instructor or become certified within 6 months following hire. Must be an agency driver or become one within 90 days of hire.

About Us

The phrase Beacon Light actually refers to two distinct companies:
Beacon Light Behavioral Health System (BLBHS) and Beacon Light Adult Residential Services (BLARS).

Together they provide mental health services to adults, children and families in both community-based and residential settings. Individually, BLARS primarily provides residential programs for adults, while BLBHS provides community-based and residential programs for children, as well as community-based programs for adults.
