Position Summary

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, implementing individualized treatment plans, supporting activities of daily living, utilizing positive behavior supports, assisting with medication administration (when certified), maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team to promote recovery, stability, and positive treatment outcomes. The STAR program is a joint-commission accredited residential program for children ages 7 through 17 who are in crisis and are in need of immediate, short-term intervention away from their home environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
