SUMMARY
The Direct Support Professional provides direct care and support to youth within the Youngsville Specialty Residential (YSR) program, a residential treatment program serving children and adolescents with mental health diagnoses and intellectual and developmental disabilities who require intensive treatment and family-centered services. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, supporting daily living activities, implementing behavioral interventions, and maintaining a structured, therapeutic environment that promotes recovery, skill development, and successful community reintegration.
The Direct Support Professional plays a key role in helping residents achieve their individualized treatment goals by providing supervision, behavioral support, crisis intervention, documentation, medication administration (when certified), and therapeutic activities under the guidance of the interdisciplinary treatment team. In addition to promoting independence and social skill development, the Direct Support Professional fosters a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment where youth can build the skills necessary for successful reintegration into their families and communities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Preference given to individuals with two plus years of experience in a human service related field.
- Preference is given to college trained individual with background in child development, intellectual disabilities, psychology, education or a related field.

About Us
