Position Summary

The G.I.R.L.S. (Girls in Recovery Learning Strengths) Residential Shift Supervisor provides leadership and oversight during assigned shifts within a high-risk residential treatment program serving adolescent females with complex behavioral health needs. This role is responsible for supervising direct care staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents, coordinating daily shift operations, and maintaining a structured, therapeutic environment that supports recovery and positive treatment outcomes.

The Residential Shift Supervisor plays a key role in mentoring staff, ensuring compliance with agency policies and individualized treatment plans, monitoring resident safety, and promoting trauma-informed, person-centered care. In addition to providing direct support to residents, the Shift Supervisor oversees shift operations, behavioral interventions, documentation, and medication administration (when certified) while collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure continuity of care. This position serves as the primary leader during the assigned shift, fostering a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment where residents can develop the skills necessary for successful reintegration into their home communities.

Position Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's Degree or 60 credit hours with two years of relevant experience OR
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in a human services-related field and/or experience working with children or adolescents.
