Position Summary
The Residential Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for the Youngsville Specialized Residential (YSR) program, a Joint Commission-accredited residential treatment program serving children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health needs who require intensive therapeutic services. The YSR program emphasizes individualized treatment, family engagement, behavioral interventions, and community reintegration to help residents develop the skills necessary for a successful transition back to their home and community. This role is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment, coordinating daily program operations, and partnering with the interdisciplinary treatment team to support positive outcomes for residents.
The Residential Supervisor plays a key role in staff development, scheduling, performance management, regulatory compliance, and quality care while modeling professionalism and trauma-informed, person-centered practices. In addition to administrative responsibilities, the Residential Supervisor provides direct support to residents as needed, oversees implementation of individualized treatment plans, promotes a structured and recovery-focused environment, and works collaboratively with families, caregivers, and community partners to help residents increase independence and successfully reintegrate into their home communities.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree plus one year work experience with children; OR
- Associate's degree or 60 credit hours plus 3 years work experience with children.
