Position Summary

The Staff Mentor is responsible for providing additional support to the staff and leadership within the program. This individual assists in training new staff and in supporting the implementation of trauma informed principles and practices, including staff debriefing. This position is responsible for assisting leadership in monitoring staff morale and in implementing necessary trainings, meetings and practices within the program. This position is responsible for coaching and development of new staff through on the job training during their employment and for providing SCM and CPR/First Aid training to employees by performing the following duties. The STRIDE program is a Joint Commission accredited residential program for children who have intensive needs requiring a longer length of stay in treatment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Individual must have 5 years' experience in a residential setting, including MH-IDD experience
