SUMMARY
Responsible for providing additional support to the staff and leadership within the program. This individual assists in training new staff and in supporting the implementation of trauma informed principles and practices, including staff debriefing. This position is responsible for assisting leadership in monitoring staff morale and in implementing necessary trainings, meetings and practices within the program. This position is responsible for coaching and development of new staff through on the job training during their employment and for providing SCM and CPR/First Aid training to employees by performing the following duties.
The STAR program is a joint-commission accredited residential program for children ages 8 through 18 who have been removed from their homes due to a behavioral health diagnosis. The program is an intensive, maximum 90-day program with a strong family therapy component. Because of the importance of family involvement, only children living within a 2-hour radius of the programs are eligible for admission.

Beacon Light Behavioral Health System is looking for a Community and School Based (CSBBH) Worker/Behavioral Health Technician who is responsible to provide behavioral support to the child or adolescent and their family in specified areas of social, behavioral and emotional concern and needs that have been identified by the child/youth and family and addressed in the treatment plan. To provide support to the child that facilitates the growth and development of the child. To assist the in the development of therapeutic support skills in the parents, family members, educators, social supports, service providers and others to ensure that such support is maintained for the child as professional interventions are decreased and terminated. SUMMARY
Responsible for teaching one or more core content or elective subjects for students that may range in grades k-12 as assigned and certified. Teachers may use creativity, humor and imagination to develop schemes of work and to plan lessons in order to foster a healthy culture of learning within the classroom and to generate the most effective interactions with students.
The special education teacher is responsible for providing accommodations to students who function on an IEP. When a student’s IEP is due, the special education teacher is the teacher of record for a caseload of students. Caseload numbers will depend on the disability of the students.

Residential Shift Supervisor

SUMMARY
Responsible to identify non-academic barriers to learning and in collaboration with families, to strategize for and/or refer identified students for assistance that will enhance their school success. As representatives of the community mental health systems, professionally trained liaisons provide consultation to teams and families regarding the need for referral to community-based assessment for the mental health problems. As Prevention Specialist this individual is responsible for the planning and implementation of prevention and intervention outreach activities in Warren and Forest Counties. This involves assisting with data collection and program development/implementation in order to minimize the abuse of drugs and alcohol. Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures but the employee is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in discharging duties. The Prevention Specialist assists with the planning, conducting and facilitation of education and information programs concerning the identification of chemical abuse behavior. Through utilization of various media techniques, drug and alcohol education information is effectively disseminated throughout the community. This individual provides instruction to school students in coping skills, decision making, self-concept and self-esteem in order to improve their ability to function and relate to others. Behavioral Health Technician - Part- time - Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)
SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) would be utilized to implement the therapeutic interventions and strategies as identified in the ITP and with the oversight of the BC or MT. BHT services provide one-on-one interventions to a client in the home, school, or community setting in attempts to maintain the child within the natural setting of their home and community. BHT services can include crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, time-structuring activities, time-out strategies, passive restraints (procedures that do not restrict freedom of movement) such as hand over hand, hand holding, graduated guidance, tactile timed touching, etc. (when necessary), and additional psychosocial rehabilitative activities as prescribed in the treatment plan. The BHT transfers skills to caretakers in domains where the individual is requiring the most assistance (school, home, community).

Special Education Teacher - Part-Time
SUMMARY
Responsible for teaching one or more core content or elective subjects for students that may range in grades k-12 as assigned and certified. Teachers may use creativity, humor and imagination to develop schemes of work and to plan lessons in order to foster a healthy culture of learning within the classroom and to generate the most effective interactions with students.
The special education teacher is responsible for providing accommodations to students who function on an IEP. When a student’s IEP is due, the special education teacher is the teacher of record for a caseload of students. Caseload numbers will depend on the disability of the students.
Teachers encourage, monitor and record the progress of individual pupils, and devise and tailor resources accordingly. They must also keep up to date with developments in their subject area, new resources, methods and national and state objectives/standards.
