SUMMARY
Responsible for planning and implementing prevention and intervention outreach activities in Warren and Forest Counties with the assistance of the Prevention Specialists, Tobacco Prevention Specialists, and SAP Liaisons. This involves assisting with data collection and program development/implementation in order to minimize the abuse of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and gambling. Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures but the employee is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in discharging duties. The Supervisor of Prevention Services assists with the planning, conducting and facilitation of education and information programs concerning the identification of chemical abuse behaviors and problem gambling. The specialist will establish a trusting, respectful relationship with peers through the sharing of life experiences with mental illness or the mental health system. The primary responsibility of a peer specialist is to assist individuals identify and achieve their recovery goals, identify strengths and barriers in their mental health recovery, assist in developing recovery strategies and tools, and providing link to community resources. Peer Support is a program that provides individualized recovery-focused intervention to adults to enhance development of natural supports, coping mechanisms and other skills necessary to function as independently and successfully as possible in the community.

Behavorial Health Technician- CSBBH

Beacon Light Behavioral Health System is looking for a Community and School Based (CSBBH) Worker/Behavioral Health Technician who is responsible to provide behavioral support to the child or adolescent and their family in specified areas of social, behavioral and emotional concern and needs that have been identified by the child/youth and family and addressed in the treatment plan. To provide support to the child that facilitates the growth and development of the child. To assist the in the development of therapeutic support skills in the parents, family members, educators, social supports, service providers and others to ensure that such support is maintained for the child as professional interventions are decreased and terminated. To provide case management support to individuals and families enrolled in the program including but not limited to attending clinical team meetings and scheduling coordination of ISPT meetings.
Beacon Light has partnered with various school districts in Pennsylvania to offer Mental Health treatment in a flexible Community and School-Based Behavioral Health (CSBBH) model.

Special Education Teacher

The Special Education Teacher is responsible for teaching one or more core content or elective subjects for students that may range in grades k-12 as assigned and certified. Teachers may use creativity, humor and imagination to develop schemes of work and to plan lessons in order to foster a healthy culture of learning within the classroom and to generate the most effective interactions with students.
The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing accommodations to students who function on an IEP. When a student's IEP is due, the special education teacher is the teacher of record for a caseload of students. Caseload numbers will depend on the disability of the students.
Teachers encourage, monitor and record the progress of individual pupils, and devise and tailor resources accordingly. They must also keep up to date with developments in their subject area, new resources, methods and national and state objectives/standards.
