ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Being aware of the Agency's operating budget which includes:
    • Assisting/Preparing the annual budget for the agency in a timely manner.
    • Assisting/Preparing the Capital Expenditure Budget for the year in a timely manner.
    • Functioning within the limits of the budget.
    • Ensuring staff within your department are functioning within the budget
    • Making adaptation to the budget on a regular basis to correct possible shortfalls.
  • Developing for approval policies and procedures to assure the effectiveness of the departments he/she supervises and for reviewing policy and procedures annually for said departments in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that programs under his/her direction follow and are in abeyance of the Agency Compliance Plan.
  • The development and flow of clinical and business information to the CFO, President, Executive Director and other members of the BLBHS Management team.
  • Collaborating with other service providers to develop new programs, when requested by the Executive Director.
  • Ensuring that all Regulatory Standards, including JCAHO, are met in his/her department.
  • Assisting treatment team members in the planning for the treatment for each individual to ensure that the best available treatment is being provided, while maintaining the Agency's philosophy in a consistent manner.
  • Consulting with other staff in crisis situations.
  • Ensuring that Master Treatment Plans and Reviews are completed in a timely manner.
  • Meeting with the consulting physicians to ensure consistency and continuity of care.
  • Ensuring the Utilization Review reports are completed accurately and timely. Present UR reports at the monthly meetings.
  • Overseeing clinical staff to ensure that the there is Integration, coordination and monitoring of the individual's active treatment program by: observing individuals, reviewing data and progress, revising programs based on individual need and performance.
  • Ensuring consistency among external and internal programs and disciplines.
  • Ensuring that the individual receives services and interventions necessary by appropriate persons capable of delivering the services.
  • Reviewing the clinical notes completed by staff assigned to his/her supervision
  • Promoting a trauma informed environment for both clients and staff.
  • Developing Key Performance Indicators for financial and clinical monitoring of the department
  • Ensure all residential programs are in full compliance with their current service description including all specialty programs.

Residential Programs for Children

For children struggling with a mental health challenge severe enough to require removal from the home by county-based Children & Youth Services or Juvenile Probation, Beacon Light offers a variety residential programs.

Some are long-term and others short-term, but all are designed to provide the highest levels of treatment individuals involved. Residential treatment is the most intensive of all Beacon Light programs, and our broad range of settings ensures we can place a child in an environment that gives them the best chance for positive outcomes.

Beacon Light operates a privately licensed school program designed to provide education for children who have been unsuccessful in traditional classroom settings. This program offers the opportunity for academic success, and encourages students to value education and learning all within a safe, structured setting. Alternative education is available to children living in the community or in one of Beacon Light's residential programs. The Regular Education Teacher is responsible for teaching one or more core content or elective subjects for students that may range in grades k-12 as assigned and certified.     Beacon Light Behavioral Health System is looking for a Community and School Based Behavioral Health (CSBBH) Professional/Mobile Therapist who is responsible for coordination of treatment for their assigned caseload by performing the following duties include: individual, family and group psychotherapy delivered directly to the identified client.
