Direct Support Professional - Children's - PRN - Short-Term Adolescent Recovery (STAR)

Certified Peer Specialist - Full-Time
SUMMARY
The Certified Peer Specialist is responsible for the management of an assigned caseload of clientele for recovery oriented peer support services. The specialist will establish a trusting and respectful working relationship with peers through the sharing of life experiences with mental illness, the mental health system, drug and alcohol recovery, and/or forensic history. This will be done in coordination with the Certified Peer Support Supervisor (CPSS) by performing the following duties as outlined in this job description. The Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) will also works under the supervision of the Director of a non-profit community based program. This position will develop and maintain supportive relationships with persons served. These relationships are essential to establishing the individual’s strengths and goals; identifying barriers, recovery strategies and alternatives to making choices about medication and treatment; and providing links to community resources. The primary responsibility of a certified peer specialist is to help individuals identify and achieve their recovery goals and meet their specific goals while assisting them in identifying and developing a natural support system. The certified peer specialist may also facilitates recovery groups and participates in panel presentations to assist in education of recovery principles. Certified Peer Specialist will also have the opportunity to further their training and education of recovery focused topics and they will maintain departmental/agencies documentation and records.

Teacher- Special Education - Full-Time
SUMMARY
Responsible for teaching one or more core content or elective subjects for students that may range in grades k-12 as assigned and certified. Teachers may use creativity, humor and imagination to develop schemes of work and to plan lessons in order to foster a healthy culture of learning within the classroom and to generate the most effective interactions with students.
The special education teacher is responsible for providing accommodations to students who function on an IEP. When a student’s IEP is due, the special education teacher is the teacher of record for a caseload of students. Caseload numbers will depend on the disability of the students.
Teachers encourage, monitor and record the progress of individual pupils, and devise and tailor resources accordingly. They must also keep up to date with developments in their subject area, new resources, methods and national and state objectives/standards.

Residential Shift Supervisor
Beacon Light Behavioral Health System is looking for a Residential Shift Supervisor who is responsible for the management of the respective shift and the supervision of the individuals within that unit during that shift. For children struggling with a mental health challenge severe enough to require removal from the home by county-based Children & Youth Services or Juvenile Probation, Beacon Light offers a variety of residential programs. Some are long-term and others short-term, but all are designed to provide the highest levels of treatment individuals involved. Director - Blended Case Management
SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the Director of Integrated Outpatient Services with the oversight of clinical and management components of the Blended Case Management program in assisting severely mentally ill individuals to be able to live successfully in the community by linking/referring to services needed, monitoring service delivery to determine progress, gaining access to services, assessment and service planning, problem resolution, informal support network building, wellness coaching, utilizing community resources, and crisis response. This position is also responsible for the overall coordination of care and resources for consumers within the Outpatient Clinic. The Program Manager of Integrated Outpatient Services oversees the management of patient registries and oversees the outreach and engagement activities completed by the Outpatient Clinic reception department. This position oversees and ensures that each consumer has a smooth and professional experience with the agency, and is directed to the most appropriate level of care and resources.
Blended Case Management (BCM) is a supportive service in which workers engage in many activities designed to assist individuals living in the community. These can include accompanying clients to appointments, managing day-to-day activities, and serving as an advocate for the individual in care.

SUMMARY
Responsible for providing additional support to the staff and leadership within the program. This individual assists in training new staff and in supporting the implementation of trauma informed principles and practices, including staff debriefing. Director of Outpatient Clinic
SUMMARY
This position provides direct clinical and administrative oversight to the Outpatient Clinic. This position is responsible for directing all of the administrative functions of the division in accordance with industry standards, where applicable, regulatory agencies, as appropriate and company objectives and policies and procedures, and, in conjunction with the Medical Director, is responsible for clinical services.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) would be utilized to implement the therapeutic interventions and strategies as identified in the ITP and with the oversight of the BC or MT. BHT services provide one-on-one interventions to a client in the home, school, or community setting in attempts to maintain the child within the natural setting of their home and community. BHT services can include crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, time-structuring activities, time-out strategies, passive restraints (procedures that do not restrict freedom of movement) such as hand over hand, hand holding, graduated guidance, tactile timed touching, etc. (when necessary), and additional psychosocial rehabilitative activities as prescribed in the treatment plan. Prevention Specialist
SUMMARY
Responsible to identify non-academic barriers to learning and in collaboration with families, to strategize for and/or refer identified students for assistance that will enhance their school success. As representatives of the community mental health systems, professionally trained liaisons provide consultation to teams and families regarding the need for referral to community-based assessment for the mental health problems. As Prevention Specialist this individual is responsible for the planning and implementation of prevention and intervention outreach activities in Warren and Forest Counties. This involves assisting with data collection and program development/implementation in order to minimize the abuse of drugs and alcohol. Work is performed in accordance with established regulations, policies and procedures but the employee is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in discharging duties. The Prevention Specialist assists with the planning, conducting and facilitation of education and information programs concerning the identification of chemical abuse behavior. Through utilization of various media techniques, drug and alcohol education information is effectively disseminated throughout the community. This individual provides instruction to school students in coping skills, decision making, self-concept and self-esteem in order to improve their ability to function and relate to others. The Prevention Specialist is to provide support sessions and group sessions for students on an as needed basis, and assists them in accessing D&A services and recreational activities or other community resources in order to address identified needs.
